Trees by Gary R. Hess
This poem is about the beauty of trees and their destruction through deforestation.
I don't completely blame governments and farmers doing this, however, something still needs to be done to preserve the area. The Amazon is a great example of what is happening. The forrest is disappearing and farmers are using the area for cattle and soy beans. But can we truly blame them? They want the same opportunity as Americans did over a hundred years ago with the expansion across the country. Of course, that doesn't mean we shouldn't be frustrated with it.
