With This Pen by Gary R. Hess

There are often times in which I feel like I have writer's block. One of the best ways to get over it is by looking at a beautiful image and writing down the first words which come to your mind. This poem came about in the same way. A power to write simply came over me.

With this pen I thee write
with notes and words which are never right
this paper lasts a hundred years
my heart pumps a thousand tears
when dusk has come and I am gone
I wish for you another dawn
